He achieved a great success at the “1970 Beethoven Prize” of RAI
Radio Televisione Italiana.
He is very active both in piano solo and chamber music and has collaborated with
prestigious soloists of international fame such as Bronislaw Gimpel, Riccardo Brengola, Felix Ayo,
Maxien Larrieux, Arturo Bonucci, Giorgio Zagnoni, Luciano Giuliani, Andrea Noferini, Bruno
Canino.
He held concerts and master classes in many countries of the world (Canada, Brazil,
Bulgaria, France, Turkey, Uruguay, Korea, Switzerland, Poland, Albania). In Italy he played both
in Recitals and as a Soloist with Orchestra for Public and Musical Associations among the most
important such as the “Academy of Music Santa Cecilia”, the RAI - Radio Televisione Italiana and
the “University Institute Concert”, “Orchestra Sinfonica” di Roma, the “Accademia Chigiana” in
Siena, the “Teatro San Carlo” in Naples, the “Musical Afternoons” and “The Concerts of Bocconi”
in Milan; “Aidem” and “Friday Musicals” in Florence, “Teatro Comunale” of Bolzano, “Teatro
Ponchielli” of Cremona; “Instituzione Sinfonica Abruzzese” and “Ente Concerti Barattelli” in
L’Aquila, “Roman Theatre” in Siracusa, etc.
Fausto Di Cesare joined to the pianistic activity the conductorship with major Orchestral
and Choral Complexes like “Orchestra and Chamber Complex” of the Academy of Music Santa
Cecilia, “Philharmonic Orchestra State” of Romania, “Chamber Orchestra Gioacchino Rossini”,
the “European Youth Orchestra”, the “Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese”, the “Symphony Orchestra
Ottorino Respighi”, the “Orchestra Festival of Montevideo”, the “Symphony Orchestra Bacau”,
the “Orchestra Opera Stara-Zagora”, the “Orchestra Regionale del Lazio”, the “Orchestra Roma
Sinfonietta”, the “Orchestra and Chorus of the National Academy of Santa Cecilia” in Rome, the
“National Orchestra of the Radio of Tirana”, the “Lyrical Symphonic Chorus of Rome”, the “Artists
of the Chorus of the Academy of Music of Santa Cecilia”, a complex that he directed steadily for
some years.
He has been piano Master deputy at the “Teatro dell’ Opera” of Rome in the Theatre Season
1972-73.
He founded in 1965 the “Musical Renewal Group” with whom he developed a strong
activity in the field of contemporary music and avant-garde and in 1994 he founded the Group
Vocal-Instrumental “Lieder Ensemble” to revive the important liederistic repertories of the great
composers (Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert, Brahms, Ravel, Bartok, Petrassi) to the public.
Fausto Di Cesare has held for more than 30 years the “Three year courses of postgraduated
piano music” at the “Fondazione Arts Academy” (International Academy of Music in Rome). For
two years he worked with the “University LUISS Guido Carli” in Rome, where he created the
“University Chorus” and the group “LUISS Music Together”. He is currently Vice-President and
responsible member of the Department of Music “European Cultural Academy”.
From 1968 to 1973, he has been Professor of main Piano at the Academy of Music “G.
Rossini” of Pesaro and “A. Casella” in L’Aquila and for 30 years, from 1973 to 2003, he has been
full professor of piano at the “National Academy of Music Santa Cecilia” in Rome. |
